Women Dress Code
One major factor that attracts every foreign tourist’s attention – upon arrival in Iran – is the different way Iranians are dressed when compared with  Muslims in other Islamic countries. Although Iranians are Muslim and the political establishment has been an “ Islamic Republic” since the revolution of 1979, Iranian’s woman and girls in particular, don’t follow the same dress pattern observed in Arab countries.
Tourists who have already been to Iran are familiar with this. National, Islamic and Western cultures do play a role in social relations  in Iran. That Is why cultural and artistic developments in developed countries are not alien to Iranian ears. Youths account for the majority of Iranian population. 50% of the youth population are girls.
Females are present in all fields: sport, music, policy, art ,…. They are very interested in political get-together. Although the Islamic Republic encourages women to wear black Chador (a head – to – nail), but no university except one requires students to wear Chador. To go around in public, what all female foreign tourists need to know, is veil their hair and sport long outfits such as raincoat and overcoat. You can use deferent colors  & such an outfit, will create no limitation whatsoever in their visits to places they want to see.
Assertions that Iranian women appear in public like Arab countries are absolutely wrong. Pictures of young Iranians girls, strolling in parks and shopping on streets are live proof of that. The picture of Hijab (Islamic dress code) in Iran is wrong. Women and girls born to religious & traditional families, keep the Islamic veil to prop up their beliefs and secure immunity from offensive. Those who hold beliefs other than this, keep the minimum veil, required by the Islamic dress code.
They wear colorful headscarves. Be sure police treat foreign tourists very respectfully. The following pictures show a routine day at recreational and artistic facilities across the city. They show how Iranian women dress to appear in public, In offices, women should observe more regulation though. Besides Iranian women wear whatever they like in family parties. You’ ill Learn more when you set foot on the soil of Iran which has a 6000 year civilization, an absolutely new image awaits you.
